Yangzhou University developed a new type of bacterial test kit

The Microbiology Laboratory of the Technical College of Yangzhou University used the traditional monoclonal antibody technology to successfully develop a new rapid detection kit for detecting harmful microorganisms in animal foods. This result greatly improves the detection efficiency.

Animals are most likely to be contaminated by pathogenic microorganisms during birth, rearing, slaughter, freezing, processing, and transportation, and are passed step by step through the food belt. According to traditional detection methods, a large number of instruments and equipment are required to be used, which can be completed at least once a week. Samples can be taken at any time and anywhere using this kit, and qualitative detection of Salmonella bacteria, E. coli, and Clostridium perfringens in foods can be performed. A common pathogen, and it only takes 1-2 days.

According to reports, the results of this research are leading domestically and can be widely used in the fields of food manufacturing, entry-exit inspection and quarantine, and animal disease prevention in the future.
