First, the status quo

Under the increasingly higher requirements, gravure printing in our country has grown from scratch and has grown rapidly from small to large.
Up to now, China has imported more than 420 gravure printing lines from Japan, Switzerland, Germany, Italy, France, South Korea, Australia, and Taiwan. In addition, two or three hundred gravure printing machines have been put into use in China. .
From the point of view of regional distribution, except for some provinces and regions, the whole country is almost all over the provinces, cities, and districts across the country. Among them, there are more concentrated provinces and cities including Yunnan, Shanghai, Guangdong, Shandong, Jiangsu, and Zhejiang. Only one province in Yunnan is a cigarette company. There are more than 40 production lines for paper gravure machines that produce cigarette packs. In addition, the indigo in Chaoan of Guangdong, Xiong of Hebei, and Longgang gravure printing of Wenzhou of Zhejiang province are also prominent. Small gravure companies are dotted, and in some places, there are hundreds or even hundreds of places.
Gravure machines introduced can be divided into three categories depending on the use of different products:
1) Import of plastic film gravure press is mainly Japanese;
2) The import of paper and plastic gravure printing machines is mainly based on European machines;
3) Gravure printing machine for paper printing, divided into general-purpose machines (above 800mm wide) and special machines (below 800mm in narrow range) imported mainly from European machines.
At present, most of the gravure printing machines imported from China are six colors. From 2000 to 2001, foreign-funded enterprises in the country introduced about 10 production lines with 8 to 12 color gravure printing machines from Fuji Machinery of Japan.

Seed packaging: various crop seeds and vegetables, flower seeds, etc.;
Industrial packaging: clothing, knitted underwear, women's and children's products and New Year pictures, calendars and other packaging.
In addition, the banknotes and stamps printed in our country are also completed by engraving gravure. The tipping paper used for cigarette filters and the woodgrain paper for furniture are also printed on gravure printers.
According to the survey, at present, among the companies engaged in gravure printing, 70-80 production quality and benefits are relatively good, and development is healthy. There are also a number of companies with insufficient living resources and insufficient production tasks. There are also a few individual companies that have been unsustainable due to various reasons and have faced the situation of suspension of production and semi-discontinued production, and even faced bankruptcy.
