Smart Industrial Printer 123Print

ORLANDO, Fla. -- (MARKET WIRE) -- October 16, 2006 -- Datamax and MCL Technologies today announced the launch of 123 Print, a printing application that can be executed directly on Datamax printers. Applications created in the 123 Print development environment can be downloaded directly to the printer and execute the program, eliminating the need for the computer to execute the application. This versatile product is suitable for label integration, data capture design, and label correspondence to replace static label fields with interactive content. 123 Print creates a stand-alone application and then executes the print program on the Datamax printer.

Through Smart Clients developed by MCL and built into Datamax printers, the 123 Print provides an easy-to-use environment for developing and executing printer-resident applications.

1. – Build: 123 Print combines Barguender from Seagull to provide a rich graphical design experience and to easily create a labeling environment on the printer.

2. – Capture: 123 Print uses interactive screen conversations to retrieve data from peripheral devices entered and/or connected to the printer by the user. The data input can come from a panel, an external keyboard, a bar code scanner, a scale, a search file, or the like.

3 - Correspondence: Through the corresponding function of the label 123 Print, the template allows any static label to be converted into a dynamic label. Through the variable data obtained from the printer users and peripheral devices, text, barcodes, and images can all be replaced interactively.

"Customers never need an intermediary computer server to create a label and send it to a printer," said Jean-François Jacques, managing director of MCL Technologies. "In addition to reducing the cost of printer configuration, companies will be flexible due to their flexibility and increased productivity. Will recognize the greater value of Datamax printers and enjoy the applications created by 123 Print."

123 Print includes programs for simulating printing applications and debugging during development. The program does not require a printer. In addition, it can also remotely connect printers, check printer status, enable standard printer controls, write files, and create and execute scripts to automatically write programs and set up printers.

“For the industry, there is no need to use computer-driven printing applications at the moment. It is a breakthrough that is expected to attract users who want to simplify the label printing process and significantly reduce the cost of the company.” Vice President of Marketing, Datamax Doug Hall said, "123 Print completely balances the need for ease of use and robust functionality. We are very excited about providing this new product to customers around the world."
