First of all, make full use of corner remnants. At present, some enterprises adopt the method of ordering specification paper in order to reduce the waste of the corner material. Of course, this method is preferable for stable carton specifications, few varieties, and large batch production of single batches; but for companies with diverse carton specifications and small production batches, this approach will cause greater waste. The general countermeasure is to purchase raw paper with a uniform width (1,600 mm). If five-layer paperboard is produced, the longitudinal slitting specifications and the quantity of materials can be calculated reasonably according to the specifications of the paperboard, and the residual material of the corners can be used as a splicing sandwich. A few examples:

The width of the cardboard is 590mm. It produces 1,000 sheets of five-layer cardboard. Then, the inner paper can be cut by 500 knives, and cut longitudinally into two 590mm? One 400mm. The core paper was cut with 389 knives, of which 167 knives were longitudinally cut into two 700 mm? One 180 mm, 222 knives were longitudinally cut into three 530 mm. During laminating, 180mm and 530mm are combined into 666 sandwiches.

Note: Cardboard of any specification can be fully utilized as long as the remaining material is above 10mm. Of course, it is only wasted if the remaining material is below 10mm. It is worth reminding that the large or small head of the splicing must have 10mm of exposed tiles (when the single-sided machine is operated, the ends of the bottom paper and the tile paper can be staggered by 10mm). When laminating, the big head and the small head must overlap by 10mm. The overlapping part can only be within 10mm of the lava, and can only be a two-piece one-joint. Try to stagger the indentation line of the shaker when calculating. In this way, it will not expose the paper to the joint marks, nor will it affect the vertical compressive strength of the cardboard. If it is three-layer cardboard, you can rewind the excess scraps by manual rewinding method, and then re-cut and splicing when producing five-layer cardboard.

Second, reduce the cost of adhesives. In the production of corrugated board with a single-sided machine, the adhesive is the most critical. To reduce the cost of adhesives, we must first choose a starch adhesive with lower cost. Among the types of starch adhesives, choose adhesives with strong viscosity and small usage. Generally speaking, the cost of compound adhesive (commonly known as cooked rubber) can be controlled at about three cents per square meter of five-layer cardboard.
