Newspaper printing quality is an important aspect of newspaper quality. The printing quality of newspapers refers to the degree of graphic effects transferred from newspaper layout information to newsprint through typesetting, plate making techniques and the use of printing equipment. I. Newspaper Printing Quality Accidents and Prevention

The quality accidents of the typesetting process include:

1. Screen title. The main reasons for the errors in "No Word" and "Black Edition" in the text are: Misuse of the screen. When editing the screen shading, the laser printer proofs generally prevail. The dot matrix of laser printers is much thinner than that of laser imagesetters. Sometimes the net pattern on the laser printer does not show any problem, but when the film is put on the laser imagesetter, the original net pattern that looks appropriate is increased due to the increase in density. Blackness, headlines and texts will become unclear, and serious ones will have a black net and no headings.

2. The laser photocopies and the printing samples do not meet the requirements. Some of the forensic seals need to be changed in some local areas. The edited drawing is convenient. Changes are made on the printed samples. Only the sign of “reissued after printing” will be ignored. The result is jumps, misses, empty texts, lost text, etc. error. These errors may be related to the following situations:

(1) When the typesetting personnel were revised, they sometimes read the wrong line, read the wrong line, or read the wrong symbol. If the change was not changed, the one that was not supposed to change was changed. If the type was not proofed, it will be submitted.

(2) In the no-network-connected computer room, the typesetting personnel forgot to copy the generated distribution file to the old floppy disk after correct modification and operation. We did not overwrite the original posting file. The last file was still the old file.

(3) In the networked photocopying system, after the typographical personnel correctly revised the version on the personal computer, due to negligence, the publishing document generated after the change was not copied to the server through the network, and the result was still the old document.

3. After the photocopying staff took the film, they did not check whether the layout, headline, headline, and picture text were consistent with each other. They did not carefully check the date and the version order, and there would be mistakes in film making staff to make imprints.

4. At the time of satellite transmission, sometimes the main station transmitted the wrong version, and the photographing staff did not check it out. Directly plated personnel make imprints.

Preventing photocopying errors should do the following:

1, according to the laser printer sample selected net shading, should choose a relatively shallow net pattern. 2. Strictly abide by the requirement that "print samples must be printed without any alterations". After the typesetting personnel are redesigned, they must re-sample to the editors for proofreading.

3, according to staff after the release. It is necessary to check whether the layout, headline, heading, picture, and text correspond to the clear copy on a version-by-version basis. Carefully check the date and the version order, and carefully check the quality of the film. If any suspicious circumstances are found, report the leadership of the workshop initiatively. Take remedial measures in a timely manner.

The quality accidents of the plate making process include:

1, misspelled version.

(1) misspelled the layout, or misspelled the 2nd and 3rd editions, or misspelled the 6th and 7th editions and the 5th and 8th editions, or misspelled the 9th and 12th editions, or added the 2nd and 7th editions to the 3rd edition. Misspelled version 6, etc.

(2) Misspelling of the header and masthead. There are more newspapers with smaller titles and it is easy for spellers to misspell the headlines.

(3) The picture is misspelled. Sometimes it's easy to make a picture of what should not be sent on stage. The picture does not match the caption. (4) In the advertisement version, the old film of the previous advertisement of the same customer was mistakenly put into the advertisement position of the current period (the same headline is different, the content is different), or the advertisement word is misspelled.

2, fight anti-film. Fight anti-final, half-length, or mid-stitched films, or fight spellings, or fight against ad text.

3, use a dirty film base imposition. The film was dirty or left with other graphics. It was not cleared and it was made up. It caused mistakes.

4, poor local exposure of the layout, resulting in the loss of the net when the part of the printing, word off.

To prevent errors in platemaking, the following measures should be taken:

1. In addition to placing the necessary tools and materials, no other items shall be placed on the worktable. The used film shall be kept separately to prevent it from being mixed into the daily newspaper version.

2. The plate-making staff shall check whether there are any abnormalities in the film before the imposition according to the operation rules of the photo-arrangement personnel, and in particular verify the version, date, and completeness before applying the imposition. Important photographs and explanatory texts, such as party and state leaders, should be examined with emphasis.

3, after spelling out the positive drawing, also check the provisions of the inspection of the project, and then pay people to each other, confirmed after the correct printing.

4. Before printing, print personnel should carefully check the edition date and check the printing glass. Whether the film and Ps plate has a small amount of sand and other debris, if there is debris to be thoroughly cleaned before printing.

5, when the weather is particularly humid, you can use hot air blown to blow the film to avoid poor layout exposure.

6, the printing plate machine vacuum pumping thoroughly.

7. After printing, the printing staff should carefully check the printed samples and find any suspicious points. And properly handled, unqualified printing plate must not flow into the printing process.
