Japanese companies have new initiatives in environmental protection

Some Japanese companies have recently succeeded in using waste paper to make packaging containers. Their strength is comparable to that of plastics, and they can be recycled and reused. For example, a container produced by Kao Co., a cosmetics manufacturer, using waste paper as a raw material has been put on the market, and its strength is no less than that of plastic. At present, the company is developing daily necessities and food containers.

In addition, Nippon Paper Co., Ltd. has also developed paper that is 5 to 10 times more stretchable than normal paper, and can be made into containers of various shapes using a metal mold. The raw materials for this new technology are all wood and pulp, without synthetic resin, capable of recycling and harmless to the environment. Japanese media believes that Japan uses 1 million to 2 million tons of plastics per year to produce food packaging containers. If paper products are used instead of plastics, a huge new market will emerge.
