The RF-SIM card is in the middle of the industry chain. China Mobile currently only selects the three companies of Eastcompeace, Shanghai Kesi and Wuhan Tianyu. Li Zhizhong, a researcher at Nisshin Securities, pointed out that Eastcom Peace currently accounts for nearly 70% of China Mobile's RF-SIM card market and will be the biggest beneficiary of SIM card manufacturers.
In the subsequent RF-SIM card package, only two companies in China have the strength, namely Changchang Technology and China Power Smart Card. Changdian Technology has been cooperating with National Technology in the RF-SIM card business and has a share of more than 70%, which can meet the order requirements of China Mobile's tens of millions of RF-SIM cards.
According to China Mobile's plan, in the next 2-3 years, China Mobile will install 1 million RF-POS machines in merchants, schools, subways, public transportation and other systems to achieve initial network construction, with a market price of 2,000 yuan per machine. Calculated, the market size is about 2 billion yuan. In the face of this growing FR-SIM card, the demand for its supporting equipment RF-pos machine has increased year by year.
However, industry insiders suggest that the companies that provide RF-POS machines mainly include Nantian Information, Zhengtong Electronics, New World, Tuowei Information, Gaoyang Technology and China Banknote Credit Card Industry Company. The competition in the industry is fierce. If RF-POS is rolled out across the country, it is estimated that the purchase of mobile RF-POS will reach 100,000, 300,000 and 600,000 units respectively from 2010 to 2012. These market shares will become the company's new profit growth point. However, since mobile payment involves many departments and industries such as merchants, buses, and subways, if the interests of multiple departments cannot be agreed, and the cost of RF-SIM cards cannot be further reduced, this will become an obstacle to the development of the mobile payment industry.
