A second-hand Heidelberg quad-color offset printing machine will produce ink sticks for full-field printing, and the ink colors will be inconsistent. At first I thought it was too heavy for the platen roller. After inspection, it was found that the platen pressure of the four platen rollers was appropriate (the width of the first three platen rollers was 4mm, and the width of the fourth ink roller was 3mm. Then, remove all 4 form rollers and check the bearings in the bushes at both ends. It turns out that the bearings in the 3 bushes at the flywheel end have been worn out and almost all the needles inside have fallen out. The needle roller clip and the shell are left. However, after the bearings in the three sleeves are all replaced, the printing effect has not been improved.
Next, all the ink leveling rollers and cross-ink rollers were inspected, and it was found that there were 2 cross-ink rollers with radial jumps during operation, but after the bearings were replaced, the effect was still not improved.
The factors of the ink roller were basically eliminated, so the water roller was suspected. First, take off the two water rollers, lift the four ink rollers to the position close to the plate, and let the plate cylinder run for a few weeks. At this time, it is found that not only the ink color is uniform on the plate, but there is no trace of ink bars . After further inspection, it was found that the water-rolling steel roller had obvious radial runout. The radial runout reached 1.02mm when measured with a dial indicator. Finally, loosen the tightening screws at both ends of the water-supply roller to recalibrate, and the fault can finally be completely eliminated.
