In the production of corrugated cartons, the use and storage of printing plates cannot be ignored. They should be taken seriously and used in a scientific manner.

Plate storage requirements

Corrugated cartons commonly used in printing plates are mainly rubber plates. Flexible resin plate. PS version and screen printing version (currently used in the corrugated box industry is small). The printing plates of different materials have different usage methods and storage requirements.

1. Rubber plate

Rubber plate should be avoided with gasoline during storage. Chardonnay water. Toluene and other organic solvents are put together. Otherwise, it will cause the rubber plate to age and become unusable; avoid strong sunlight and prevent the rubber plate from cracking after ageing and cannot be used; talc powder should be applied between the rubber plates to prevent the plates from sticking together after being pressed; In addition, it is also necessary to prevent the rubber plate from being scratched by metal or sharp objects and affecting the use.

2. Flexible resin plate

When packing the flexible resin plate, be careful to lay it flat in the packing box. Do not place it vertically. Packing boxes should not be stacked more than 10 boxes.

Before the plate-making exposure, the protective film on the surface of the printing plate cannot be peeled off to prevent sunlight and ultraviolet rays from being irradiated. Otherwise, the light will cause the pattern and text after the plate-making. The relief depth of the lines is not enough. In severe cases, the flexible resin plate material will polymerize, causing the plate to be scrapped. In addition. Do not place plates on ozone. In the presence of arcs and organic solvents, denaturation occurs in response to the flexible resin plate reacting.

3. PS version

Keep the PS version protected from light and heat. PS version of the storage temperature of 10-30'C is appropriate, relative humidity is not more than 65%. Storage in high humidity or high temperature areas will shorten the shelf life of the PS plate and reduce the quality of the PS plate.

The PS plate should be stored in a flat place to prevent any outstanding hard objects from damaging the PS plate, and the stack height should not exceed 1.2m.

Application classification storage plate

At present, corrugated cartons manufacturers continue to increase the number of small batch and multi-category jobs, plus the carton specifications and design content changes, so often the different types of jobs correspond to different plates. Over time, the number of plates used in the factory will increase, and the storage of these plates becomes an important task.

The printing plate method is quite good. The specific method is as follows.

(1) Classify the printing plate according to the characteristics of the carton packaged goods, and then number the printing plates of the same type of product carton. After sorting, it is very convenient to keep and find the printing plate. When printing, it can be found simply by the product category.
(2) Prepare printing plate storage counters and store the printing plates in good categories. This avoids loss of plates and accidental damage.
(3) The typographer is responsible for the special management of the plates and will be damaged in time. Deformed and problematic plates are duplicated, cleaned, and scrapped.
(4) Set up a printing plate archive card in preparation for the search.

Precautions

After the printing of each batch of products is completed, the printing plates must be cleaned after they are unloaded from the printing press. In particular, the residual ink in the depressed portions of the printing plates must be carefully removed.

The flexible resin plate and the rubber plate after or after use are preferably stored in a vertically suspended manner, so as to prevent the plate below from being pressed and deformed to cause discarding due to the stacking of the plate for a long time. After the rubber plate and flexible resin plate are used for a long period of time, there will be varying degrees of wear and deformation of the pattern text. Defective or lost, every time you wash plates and send and receive plates, you must carefully check and check, and find that the above problems are immediately repaired. Replace or replate.

To remove the PS plate from the offset press, thoroughly clean the ink and smudges on the plate, and then dry the plate uniformly. After the glue is removed, the PS plate shall be placed vertically. After the protective plate of peach gum is dried and then stacked, a piece of paper is placed between the PS plates and the space is kept flat and stored in a cool, dry and clean place.
