5. AC and DC current measurement 1. Insert the black test lead into the COM jack. When measuring the maximum current of 200 mA, the red test lead is inserted into the mA jack. When measuring the maximum current of 20 A, the red test lead is inserted into the 20 A jack.
Note: In most cases, the damage of the digital multimeter is caused by the wrong measurement position. For example, when measuring AC mains, the measurement position is selected to be placed in an electrical barrier.
